Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance | FSQA Director

A day in the life of the Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance includes:

Direct responsibility for the Food Safety and Quality Assurance activities in at least one or more plants and indirect responsibility for the core FSQA business element assigned to the position.

•       You have corporate oversight and the responsibility for controlling the quality risk associated with Quality Assurance activities in their assigned area through strategic initiatives and execution excellence that provides high-quality products and services that meet customer expectations and comply with USDA regulations and company policies.

•       You will develop and implement breakthrough strategies and programs that manage their function with low risk and high ethics.

•       You will represent the company food safety and quality image and motivate others to create a superior performance from all direct reports and the FSQA team.  Plant QA Managers and Plant FS Managers report directly to the Director of FSQA.

Job Requirements

Skills, Education and Experience to be successful:

•       A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (food or meat science preferred)

•       Four plus years within the meat industry with an emphasis on pork or the combination of education and experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position, including supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation

•       Salary range is $80,000 to $120,000 plus commiserates with experience
