If you like to travel, this career opportunity is for you!  This position will travel sometimes with short notice 20% - 50% of the time.  Most travel is done Monday through Friday.


A day in the life of the Traffic Installation Support Technician includes



The Installation/Support Technician provides technical support for our customers in the maintenance of our products and any related equipment.  The Tech team performs on-site product installation and configuration; analyzes and resolves problems with hardware, software, and/or networking; develops and uses training aids and conducts installation/troubleshooting training for customers.

Job Requirements

Requirements



•       Providing customer service and technical support;



•       Responsible for installing industrial computers, network cameras, and communications equipment at signalized intersections to enable ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) solutions;



•       Responsible for using ITS software tools to configure intersection phasing and vehicle detection setup and validate proper signal operations after installation;



•       Coordinating with City and State Departments of Transportation to schedule and confirm details for both classroom and field training opportunities;


Successful candidates will have:



•       High School Diploma or equivalent.



•       3 to 5 years related work experience in computer, IT or traffic signal industry.



•       Ability to work with advanced features of PCs, Windows operating systems and troubleshooting computer systems and software. 



•       Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the traffic signal industry.



•       Experience with common vehicle detection technologies.



•       Proficient computer skills, adaptability in learning the use of company-specific software and comprehension of fundamental computer practices and database management.


Preferred Skills and Experience include:  



•       Associates degree in Electronics, Computing Sciences, and Information Technology or comparable fields or equivalent work experience.



•       IMSA Signal Tech Level 1 & 2 Certifications or equivalent work experience.



•       Experience with internal network design and troubleshooting and knowledge of current inter-connect communication technologies.


Compensation and Benefits


Starting salary is $45,000 to $50,000 with industry leading benefits.
