Job Requirements

A day in the life of the Traveling Construction Superintendent:

The Construction Superintendent is primarily responsible for ensuring the performance of their direct reports.

  • Confer with and direct, supervise personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing safe work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinate phases of construction to prevent work or completion delays.
  • To perform or manage the completion of all functions of the Assistant Superintendent role.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of specific construction sites.
  • Ensure the overall layout, surveying, building, and site control has been established accurately.
  • Prepare or review progress reports, indicating materials used, and costs; adjust work schedules to maintain timely progress; conduct weekly progress meetings with Project Management to ensure team support for schedules and progress.

Preferred Education and Work Experience

  • Two (2) or four (4) year Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineer or equivalent technical training and (10) plus years working as a commercial construction superintendent building and remodeling restaurants

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation is commensurate with experience and position.  The salary range is $95,000 to $105,000 annually plus.
  • Excellent benefits are available including 80% of health insurance, 401K, vacation and holiday pay.
